FAITH - LESSON 11
Jesus Greatest Question
You may need your Bible, a pen & notebook to complete these lessons. You should be able to copy and paste these outlines to your word processor and print them without difficulty if you so desire. We recommend you record in your note book deep thoughts or questions that may arise as you study, and certainly record all things God reveals to your heart. Look over these notes frequently and use them even as you pray. God will cause you to grow in wisdom and understanding. Keep your note book with you throughout the day as much as possible to record all God reveals to you and to review the things you have learned. Look up all bible verses in this study. Highlight or mark them in your bible. It is Gods Word speaking directly to you.

We also recommend you make a habit of memorizing a scripture each week. This not only helps get the Word deep in your heart, but is also an excellent mental exercise.

                                                                          Jesus Greatest Question

In our life time we will undoubtedly experience circumstances which challenge our faith. Those times in our life when prayer seems the only option, and our emotions scream at us, warring against our soul, wanting to cause fear or panic within ourselves. Thankfully, times like these are not the daily norm. When we do face these times it tests
us, and we pass or fail in our faith stand, not so much based on outcome, but on our ability to remain steadfast in our faith.
Our heavenly Father doesn’t send us problems, trials and evil in order to check our faith level. Satan and the curse are always near and our walking as humans on earth is enough of a problem on it’s own, without God needing to add more.
In our study titled “Moving God’s Hand” we saw in the Word that we must have a clear understanding that good comes from God and bad doesn’t. This is a fundamental principle and is foundational to our faith. How can we believe for God’s deliverance if we think He is the author of our problem? (see John 10:10)
This is not to say God doesn’t discipline us as children. Certainly we know this to be true from scripture. However, God’s discipline does NOT come in the form of sickness and disease. In order for that to be so, there would be sickness and disease in heaven, or where would He send it from? We also see in scripture sickness is listed as part of “the curse”. The Word says clearly we have been redeemed from the curse! Thank you Jesus!

~Today we will look at one of Jesus greatest questions, and consider what it means to us as believers.

Luke 18:8b “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

1. Faith is the substance (the stuff) of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1

2. Faith means taking action in what you believe God is directing. Hebrews 11: 33-34

3. Faith doesn’t quit because of adversity. Hebrews 12:1-3

4. Faith is not optional, but mandatory. Hebrews 11:6

    - Without acts of faith there would be no old testament patriarchs, no church, no
salvation in Christ, no world in existence! God’s kingdom operates by faith.

Conclusion: We don’t have the ability to pick our challenges. Ecclesiastes teaches us time and chance happen to every man. We do however have the right to choose how we will react to every circumstance. We can walk in prayer and faith towards God and His blessing, or we can walk focused too much on this life, and cry out in need of help when trouble comes, hoping for divine intervention. God loves us all, but we have to choose to strengthen and grow in our faith, in order that in times of need we are equipped to stand. Even more than this, we must as good stewards wisely put to work the priceless treasure our Lord has bestowed upon us. It is us, as believers, who hold the greatest treasure in the history of the world. Let’s determine to share it, unshaken by this worlds trials, letting our light shine. We can make an eternal difference in the lives of so many!
