EVANGELISM - LESSON ONE
Love Is The Message
You will need your Bible and a pen & notebook to complete these lessons. You should be able to copy and paste these outlines to your word processor and print them without difficulty if you so desire. We recommend you record in your note book deep thoughts or questions that may arise as you study, and certainly record all things God reveals to your heart. Look over these notes frequently and use them even as you pray. God will cause you to grow in wisdom and understanding. Keep your note book with you throughout the day as much as possible to record all God reveals to you and to review the things you have learned. Look up all bible versus in each study and highlight them or mark your favorites in your Bible. It is God's Word to you.

We also recommend you make a habit of memorizing a scripture each week. This not only helps get the Word deep in your heart, but is also an excellent mental exercise.

Spotlight Scriptures: Philippians 1:6 Be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

                                                                                               Love Is The Message

When people are hungry for God, being sometimes unaware of it themselves but seeking something more in life, it is our job as believers to make the love of God available. There are plenty that will minister a religious list of duties and requirements. There is also an ample supply of messengers reminding everyone how their sin is the problem and they must change their ways.
The real need in the body of Christ, and what the world truly must see is that God loves them. He loves them completely. He knew that man couldn’t overcome sin on his own, so He sent Jesus. People are aware of their own sin, they don’t need to be reminded. We all know when we’ve messed up. We don’t find being reminded of our failures helpful, so let’s not remind others of theirs. Let’s show the love of God to the saved and to the lost. Let’s allow Jesus love to be visible to all.
How can we improve in this love walk? What can we do to make the love of God more visible to all?

1. Remember we are ALL loved by God.
    John 3:16

2. Consider that even the worst sinner is only one prayer away from being your brother.
    Colossians 1:12-14
    Ephesians 2:8

3. Choose to walk in love. It’s your choice.
    Colossians 3:14
    Matthew 22:39

4. Always be a fighter for godliness within yourself.
    1Timothy 6:11-12

5. Lean heavily on what Christ has done for us.
    - Redeemed from the hand of the enemy ~ Psalm 107:2
    - Called with a holy calling ~ 2Timothy 1:9
    - Crowned with loving kindness and tender mercies ~ Psalm 103-1-5
    - We can do all through Christ ~ Philippians 4:13

Conclusion: So what message are we sending? Are we too critical of the unsaved, or even of each other? Love is the magnet, it is key. There is always room for us to improve. When God saved us He didn’t stop working on us. That was just the beginning. To walk this life allowing God to work through us means yielding to His Word and to His correction. We aren’t complete yet, we are a work in progress. If we will allow our heavenly Father to continue to shape us, and not resist, we become vessels fit for the master, out of whom can flow rivers of living water. Be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
